He grabbed the lamb from its back legs and lifted it quickly in the air. "This lamb is for a JD100". He said, while I was taking photos of the goats. "WHAT?!" I exclaimed. "One kilogram of meat is sold for JD12 nowadays", he explained, holding the lamb between his arms. I am still not sure what sort of meat he was referring to, but I know that it is out of his sense of pride of his herd that he made this statement.
Unfortunately, It wasn't until I reached home that I realized that I do not know his name. I was calling him "Ammi" all the time. So, until I find his real name, he shall be known as the Shepherd of Iraq Al Amir.
